Paid weeks per year: 46.94

Fixed term: August 2023 to support an individual child while at the school.

We are looking to appoint a committed, versatile, motivated and enthusiastic Individual Needs Assistant to join us from September 2022.

 

About the role

We are looking for someone who is experienced in working with children with significant Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Experience of Attachment Aware responses and background in trauma informed practice is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be committed to understanding specific triggers and behaviours and forming positive relationships with pupils, whilst maintaining clear and consistent boundaries and expectations.

This can be a physically demanding role and good physical health is essential.

The successful candidate must:

· be able to work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo as well as being required to use their own initiative.

· have good communication skills, an interest in child development as well as high expectations and aspirations for all.

· have experience of working with or caring for primary aged children within a school situation.
