We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher to join our team from 1st September 2022.

City Academy Whitehawk is a vibrant two form entry primary school with a nursery serving an East Brighton community. Our school was judged ‘Good’ with an ‘Outstanding’ Early Years in Autumn 2018 and since then we have gone from strength to strength and we are proud to report that the children under our care are thriving.

Shortlisting will take place on Thursday 5th May. We will acknowledging every application; if feedback for unsuccessful applications is requested, we will honour this request in the week beginning 23rd May.

We are committed to appointing a highly proficient and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher and therefore the recruitment process will enable all applicants the chance to demonstrate their skillset. For successfully shortlisted candidates, the interview process will begin on Thursday 19th May. The recruitment process will include a range of teaching and leadership activities and also offer you the chance to get to know our wonderful school and a variety of CAW stakeholders, including members of our Local Academy Board. Some candidates will be invited in for the second phase of the interview process on Day 2 on Friday 20th of May. All candidates will be offered verbal feedback in the week beginning 23rd May. If it can be fairly done, we will organise to visit all shortlisted candidates in their own setting before the formal process on May 19th.
