Job introduction
We are looking for a new Project Development Officer
About the role
You will be an experienced, organised and confident Project Officer who can formulate and deliver waste, recycling and circular economy projects to time and within budget.
You will be able to exercise independence and discretion and be comfortable working as part of a team, or on your own, in an evolving and dynamic environment. Possessing good verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent ICT skills, and an ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
In particular, we want someone to join our Cityclean team who can demonstrate experience in:
- Development and implementation of projects
- Delivery of targeted research
- Communication and engagement, both externally to residents and internally to colleagues
- Delivery of good customer service
- Written communications such as reports, business cases and options appraisals
Knowledge and/or experience of the waste sector is desirable but not essential.
Fixed term for: 12 months

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
Work Permits: We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Please see Gov.uk for more information on the Skilled Worker Visa.
We offer the opportunity for the suitable candidate to choose to work in a hybrid way. Your specific working arrangements will be subject to team and service working arrangements already in place alongside Government guidance. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
