Job introduction

The role of Adolescent Service Manager is to lead a multi-agency team of practitioners to deliver a high quality service to complex adolescents. You will be one of a team of 5 Adolescent Service Managers, each responsible for specific areas of expertise, whilst working closely together to best meet the needs of this cohort.

We are currently looking for an Adolescent Service Manager with a lead in supporting children and young people with substance misuse and sexual health issues. The successful candidate will manage the DASH and ru-ok? teams, which offer the Tier 2 and Tier 3 offer to address these issues. It will be a very exciting time to join the team as we have recently received confirmation of 3 year funding to significant expand the team.

The Adolescent Service is well thought of locally and has received positive feedback from recent inspections. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative leader who shares our passion in providing the best service we can for this complex and vulnerable cohort.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Service Manager to our Adolescent Service, who will be part of a team of four Service Managers, all with different Specialisms, working together to provide an integrated offer to a cohort of adolescents with complex needs. The needs of this cohort include substance misuse, exploitation, edge of care, youth offending, mental and sexual health.

You must be an experienced social work manager with children's safeguarding and care expertise and knowledge including relevant child care regulations and guidance. You will need an in depth understanding of the needs of complex adolescents and well developed partnership skills.

You will need to have proven management skills and experience in child care legislation.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Working arrangements are subject to Government guidance at the time. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
