Balfour Primary School requires an enthusiastic, committed and qualified Teaching Assistant working specifically with vulnerable/ pupils with SEND.  The Teaching Assistants are a busy and productive team within the School who support our enthusiastic students as well as our vibrant teams of teaching staff. In addition, the successful post holder will support our children at lunchtime. Please see the job description for further information about the roles.

About the role

Balfour Primary School is a thriving and vibrant school at the heart of the Surrenden Campus serving the Preston Park, Fiveways and Hollingbury communities.  Our school is a large primary school with nearly 800 pupils on roll.  We are very proud of:

Hours: The post holder will be expected to work Monday - Friday term time only and can choose from one of the following:

1. 8:45am - 3:30pm. This includes a 15-minute break and a 30-minute lunch.  [30 hrs/wk]

2. 8:45 - 1:15pm.  This includes a 15-minute break. [21.25 hrs/wk]

3. 12:00 - 3:30pm. [17.5 hrs/wk]

Salary: The starting salary is NJC Scale 3.  (£19,312 – £19,698pa) pro rata depending on the working pattern chosen above.

Term:  This is initially a fixed term position until 31st August 2022
