About the role

We are looking to recruit 2 x 37 hour Home Care Support Workers at Ferndale Road, a 24 hour supported living service.

You will join a small team of committed staff who provide support to those living at Ferndale Road.

We provide person-centred support to two individuals who can at times exhibit behaviour that challenges.

Duties will include:
- Supporting with  personal care where required.
- support with day to day tasks at home, including cooking, cleaning, medication administration and day activities.
- Enabling the individuals to participate in a range of activities within the wider community such as  shopping, banking, supporting them to medical appointments, leisure activities etc.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with family members, carers and friends.

About you:
You do not need any formal qualifications or previous care experience for this role as we will provide you with an in-depth induction programme where you will be well supported by your manager and colleagues. However, you will need to:
- Have a caring and flexible approach to your work
- Have good written and number skills
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Be able to work on your own initiative
- Be committed to training and development
- Be able to work in sometimes busy and stressful environment.

You will be required to work a rota pattern that includes some weekends, early, late and sleep in duties. Enhancements are paid for these additional hours

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.

Regulations now require all staff who undertake work within CQC registered care homes to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19, unless they satisfy one of the medical/legal exemptions.  Being fully vaccinated or being medically/legally exempt will be a condition of your employment and you will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status or medical/legal exemption as part of the recruitment process for this role
