About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician - Operations & Project Delivery to join our successful Schools ICT Services Team.

The Senior Technician will be a member of a support team consisting of 6 team members within an overall Schools ICT Service of around 55 team members. We deliver high volume, high quality IT services with a ‘personal touch’ to all types of education establishments, public and third sector customers, within the IT & Digital Customer & Partnerships group.  

As a Senior Technician, you will be required to work individually and as part of a small team, providing second line technical support and project delivery. You will have daily engagement with customers and external suppliers to deliver ICT services.

The role is based in St Mary’s House Eastbourne, however due to the COVID situation we are currently working from home.

This role is part of Customer and Partnerships within the Orbis IT & Digital Service. This Service provides mission critical operational support and innovative project delivery that underpins delivery of the business priorities and service outcomes for the Orbis partner authorities and customers.

The post undertakes some of its work at customer premises.

The post may be required to undertake duties in other parts of the service, where this adds value to service understanding and the sharing of knowledge with colleagues.

This role will require frequent travel across the Orbis geography.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
