Job introduction

This role is being advertised on behalf of  PeoplePlus.

Covering the Brighton and Hove area, our Independent Living Advisors provide high quality information, advice and support to both referring Health & Social Care professionals and vulnerable eligible customers who are considering participating in Self Directed Support Schemes, Independent Living Schemes, Personal Health Budgets and self-funded/private clients, over a designated area. We are looking for individuals with a background in social care who can support children and adults with disabilities to live independently in their local communities. They work remotely and arrange home visits with their customers in order to make sure they have all the support they need to retain their independence.

About the role

You will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, and always want to be the best. If you have some experience of social care, through life experience, voluntary placement or paid work, we believe you will have the transferrable skills required for this exciting role. You will need to be well organised, a confident communicator and have loads of motivation and a determination to always deliver your best. Due to the nature and scope of this role you will also need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
