Job introduction
The Children's Placement Team is a busy and dynamic service situated in the Families Children and Learning Directorate. The Team identifies and commissions placement for all Children in Care and Care Leavers, adopting the principles of achieving positive outcomes for children and providing Value for Money for the local authority.
We wish to appoint a part time (4 days per week) Business Support Officer to provide vital administrative support to team. The job is varied and will provide opportunities to support financial transactions with external providers, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of services and maintain internal records used to monitor team performance. The post holder will work closely with the Contracts and Monitoring Officer situated in the team.

About the role
The position of Business Support Officer fulfills a crucial role supporting the Team's administrative processes, ensuring that accurate records and maintained and that robust financial processes and systems are maintained and operate effectively.
The post holder will require excellent verbal and written communication and good interpersonal skills. Applicants should have experience working in an administrative or finance & payments field or be able to demonstrate transferable skills.

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
