About the role

This role is to join the Business & Performance Team at an exciting time of change within the service.

The team undertakes and manages the contract requirements of the Property  & Investment service in Housing which deals with the delivery of capital projects and service contracts across the housing stock.

We are entering a new stage within the service with new contractors being engaged and a programme of planned and major works that will require contract management and the establishment of contracts.

We are also entering a period where we will be procuring for the renewal of existing term contracts within the service and the postholder will be pivotal in providing excellent project management of the procurement process working with colleagues to ensure this process meets critical target dates.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a portfolio of diverse projects, including procurement and service improvement projects. To deliver a high-quality project management service reporting directly to the Business & Performance Manager during the lifetime of the projects. This service to include managing projects from start up to final implementation including undertaking post-project evaluation and ensuring that the appropriate handover requirements are in place.

To manage procurement of term contracts, consultancy support and service contracts for the service. Working with procurement and legal services, contract managers and technical leads to develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents. Then mobilise procured contractors for delivery of works programmes

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
