Job introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with excellent organisational and administration skills to work as a Legal Support Officer in the Legal Services Team (Housing and Litigation).
Interview date: 8th / 9th June 2021
About the role
This is a friendly but very busy team, supporting a wide range of client departments.
You will need to be flexible and be able to undertake a range of duties including general administrative duties and have experience of using MS Office, Outlook and Excel as well as time recording and case management software.
You will be supporting the lawyers in the Housing & Litigation Team in the management of their cases, including opening files, preparation of bundles, liaising with the Court and clients and drafting standard documents.
Some experience of working a legal environment would be preferable, but not essential.
You will be joining a well respected and resourced local government legal service and will benefit from a genuine commitment to professional development for all of our staff.

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
