Brighton & Hove City Council is recruiting a Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Lexcel accredited, highly skilled and supportive legal service as a lawyer in our Contracts & Procurement Team.

Closing date: 9 April 2021.

Interview date: Week commencing 19 April 2021 (All interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams).

About the role

You will have the opportunity to handle your own varied case load of contracts and procurement work. You will work on the Council’s Major Projects and provide advice and guidance at all stages of the procurement process.

Experience of contracts and procurement law is desirable. Excellent client care, communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to develop in the role are essential.

We are mainly working remotely currently and this is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. This role is a full-time post but we also welcome applicants from lawyers who want to work remotely, flexibly or part time.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Please see Gov.uk for more information on the Skilled Worker Visa.
