Job introduction

Hove Park School and Sixth Form Centre is looking to appoint a Senior Clerk to work closely with the governing body and report to the Chair of Governors. The role will include servicing meetings, providing advice on procedural and constitutional matters, and undertaking a range of administrative duties associated with the effective operation of the governing body.

Grade: Scale 5 

Start date: October 2020


 

 

About the role

The Senior Clerk will be required to work 6 hours per week, term-time only and the right candidate will be able to work flexibly outside of normal office hours. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out a wide range of administrative tasks at a senior level, including minute taking, with effective written and verbal communication skills. Moreover, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organisation and prioritisation skills, computer literacy and the ability to work in a confidential environment. Previous experience in a similar Clerk role is highly desirable.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.
