Sign up for free swimming for children
All children 16 years old and under can get free swimming sessions in Brighton and Hove. Find out how to sign up, and where they can swim.
How to sign up
Children can swim for free at these 3 pools in the city:
To sign up, a parent or guardian must download and fill in a free swimming application form, and take it to any of the pools listed above. You can also ask for a copy of the application form at the pool's reception desk.
You'll need to take the child’s original birth certificate or passport, to prove their age.
Also please take the child with you, as staff at the pool will take a photograph for their membership card.
When they can swim
Children can swim in public and general swimming sessions within these times:
- during term time, Monday to Friday from 3.30pm
- Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays
- all day during school holidays and inset days
Children under 8 years old must have a parent or adult over 18 years old with them.
The adults must go in the water with the children.
Each adult can have no more than 2 children under 8 years old with them.
