We've aware of a national scam where people are asked to pay parking fines via text. We'll never text you to request a payment for a parking fine. We'll only contact you about parking fines via letter, or email if you have already provided it to us. If you have any doubts, contact the Parking Team.

As part of their single point of contact (SPOC) service, Ageing Well offer signposting for those in the early stages of dementia. This includes for anyone who suspects they may have dementia or for those looking for groups and activities in the city.
All activities run by Ageing Well’s partners are dementia friendly. The café at the Hop50+ in Palmeira Square also hosts two weekly groups for people living with dementia, The Pit Stop and The Hop Stop.
The Pit Stop is open every Wednesday morning and offers a friendly and informal café space exclusively for people living with the early stages of dementia and carers to drop in and meet others for mutual support.
The Hop Stop (pre-book only) has a morning and afternoon session every Friday. Each session is designed to suit the individual needs of the people who use the Hop Stop. Sessions can include creative art discussion, music and singing, reminiscence, arts and crafts, bowls and games and gardening and sensory walks and more.
