Help and support for families
Find childcare and early education, get help and advice or tell us you're worried about a child.
Find childcare
Go to the Brighton & Hove Childcare Directory to find:
- childcare and early education, such as nurseries and childminders
- day care for children under 5 years old
- after school and holiday clubs
- childcare in your own home
The Best Start Family Hubs can help you get help and advice about local support services and childcare.
Refer a child or family for help
All our Family Help services are voluntary and families can decide whether or not to work with us. We can work with families to create goals and make a plan that meets their families’ needs in the following areas:
- alcohol or drug misuse
- relationship difficulties
- criminal or sexual exploitation
- domestic abuse or violence
- housing or money worries
We can meet families at home, at a Best Start Family Hub, online, or at a venue of their choice. Family help can work with a whole family, including parents, carers, children and young people, and in some cases members of their extended family.
Use our online form to refer a child or family for help.
