Brighton and Hove Children’s Centres - changes to service due to Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Service update January 2021
All our centres are currently closed to the public due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Please follow us on Facebook where we regularly post activity ideas for you and your family.
Children’s Centres are working with Brighton and Hove Libraries, sharing stories and early years sessions on-line. Follow the library service on Facebook.
You can also visit the Early Years Activities page, or read the government guidance Help children aged 2 to 4 to learn at home during coronavirus (COVID-19).
We are offering family support and parenting advice by telephone or digital contact only. If you need help with any aspect of parenting and family life please text the Healthy Child Programme ParentLine on 07769 621584. There is someone available each day from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Our food bank is open for families with children under 5. The service is a delivery service and families should not travel to the Children’s Centre to collect food.
If you are struggling to get food please contact your health visitor, social worker, or other professional working with your family or text the ParentLine 07769 621584. We may be able to deliver essential items to you.
Face to face midwifery appointments are available for clients at the following Children's Centres:
- North Portslade
Please discuss this with your midwife or the Children’s Centre reception staff.
Please be aware that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic not all our centres have staff working each day. You can contact the Children’s Centre teams below by telephone, however it may take longer than usual to respond to you.
