Ideal for people starting on their journey to fitness this mile long, flat walk around Hove park is a is great way to begin. It's a great starter walk.
The walk is flat and so ideal for limited mobility, buggies, wheelchairs and some learning difficulties (one to one support for walkers can not be provided by walk leaders and a carer should be brought if needed).
All Healthwalks are free, led by trained Volunteer Healthwalk Leaders and on public-transport routes. There is no need to book – you can just turn up. On your first walk you will need to fill out a simple health questionnaire. You can print and complete this in advance, or simply turn up ten minutes early so that a walk leader can give you a form to fill out. For all subsequent walks you will just need to add your name to the register.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. On exposed walk routes, it is also a good idea to have a drink and sunscreen with you. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome on the walks, with the exception of the cemeteries walk.
This walk does not take place on public holidays.
