Seafront Healthwalk
This is a green-level, beginners’ healthwalk, ideal for those looking to gradually regain fitness or who require a gentle level of exercise. The walk is fully accessible to wheelchair and mobility scooter users.
There are two options for this healthwalk – a westward walk finishing at Hove Lawns, or an eastward walk finishing at Brighton Marina. Both are 1 mile.
All Healthwalks are free, led by trained Volunteer Healthwalk Leaders and on public-transport routes. There is no need to book – you can just turn up. On your first walk you will need to fill out a simple health questionnaire. You can print and complete this in advance, or simply turn up ten minutes early so that a walk leader can give you a form to fill out. For all subsequent walks you will just need to add your name to the register.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. On exposed walk routes, it is also a good idea to have a drink and sunscreen with you. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome on the walks, with the exception of the cemeteries walk.
