Badgers ‘Thomas Kemp Amble’ Healthwalk
This gentle, one-mile walk explores the history of Kemp Town, taking in Sussex Square and Lewes Crescent and including a chance to see the Crescent’s private gardens and discover the tunnel that links them to the seafront. It is a circular walk and returns to the Tennis Club, where you can enjoy a cuppa afterwards.
Note: this walk must be booked in advance as numbers in the private gardens are limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place.
All Healthwalks are free, led by trained Volunteer Healthwalk Leaders and on public-transport routes. There is no need to book – you can just turn up. On your first walk you will need to fill out a simple health questionnaire. You can print and complete this in advance, or simply turn up ten minutes early so that a walk leader can give you a form to fill out. For all subsequent walks you will just need to add your name to the register.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. On exposed walk routes, it is also a good idea to have a drink and sunscreen with you. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome on the walks, with the exception of the cemeteries walk.
