eCargo Bike Accelerator project
We're aiming for Brighton & Hove to be carbon neutral by 2030. As part of this aim, we're supporting businesses to switch to using electric cargo (eCargo) bikes for deliveries, suppliers and services.
Many local businesses already use cargo bikes as part of their operations. Zedify is a local sustainable delivery service that uses eCargo bikes for deliveries. You can also find waste collection, tradespeople, and suppliers of cleaning products, food and drink (and many other services) all using cargo bikes in Brighton & Hove.
Watch the video below to learn how Bruce Watt of Bright On Boilers uses this carbon-neutral-funded eCargo bike.
We can offer support and advice on making the transition to sustainable deliveries. Many small and medium-sized businesses in the city have already made the switch.

Funding for eCargo bike purchases
Funding is no longer available for eCargo bike purchases. However, we're accepting expressions of interest in the form of business cases and adding them to a waiting list. If future funding becomes available we'll then be in touch.
Choosing the right eCargo bike
We can offer impartial expert advice on choosing the right eCargo bike for your business needs. Send an email to transport.projects@brighton-hove.gov.uk to find out more about eCargo bikes.
