Supported employment
Easy read help for autistic people or people with a learning disability to find and keep a job.
What we do
We help people who live in Brighton & Hove to find and keep paid jobs.
This help is for people who are autistic or have a learning disability.
How we can help
We believe that everyone who wants to work can work.
You just need the right job and the right support.
We will work with you to:
- find out what you are good at and what kind of job you want
- help you find the right job
- give you training and support when you start work
- stay in touch to help you and your employer if you need it later
Meet with us
You will first meet with an Employment Officer.
They will talk to you and give you advice.
This meeting helps you decide if our service is right for you.
Plan your steps to work
You and your Employment Officer will work together to:
- understand what jobs suit you
- write a CV - a paper that shows your skills and work history
- apply for jobs
- talk to employers about how we can support them to help you
- practice interviews and help you in interviews if you need it
- support you in your job after you start work
