About
The SEN Team manages the processes around Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and plans.
We work with:
- parents and carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities
- young people with SEN or disabilities
- nurseries, schools and colleges
We liaise with professionals across education, health and social care services. We gather information about children and young people with additional needs to see if you need an EHC plan to support you.
If you have an EHC plan, the support you need will be reviewed every year to see whether your plan needs to change.
We follow the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice in our work. This guides us in many situations, including when someone disagrees with a decision we've made.
We also help plan the education, health and social care provision needed by children and young people with SEN or disabilities.
We work with families, colleagues in the council, health services, Amaze and PaCC.
How to get support from us
Contact us if you have any questions about the EHC plan process.
