About
Plumpton Agricultural College is a Further and Higher Education college with vocational courses in a variety of land-based and related subjects.
We offer several different types of courses, including:
- courses for 14 to 16-year-olds
- courses for 16-year-olds and over
- apprenticeships and traineeships
- part time courses
- university degree courses
- supported internships
Further support, such as for English/Maths development, dyslexia support and more, is accessed through the Foundation Learning and Learner Support Department.
We're also able to access external support, such as signers for hearing-impaired learners.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Specialist services and expertise
We pride ourselves on being inclusive. We offer support to learners with a wide range of additional needs, including:
- dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia
- sensory impairment
- autism spectrum conditions
- mental health difficulties
- attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- English and Maths development
Our dedicated dyslexia support tutor is available for assessment, advice and guidance.
Counselling is available on request.
We have designated staff for safeguarding, and designated staff for looked-after children and those leaving care.
Signers can be organised for hearing-impaired students.
All staff at the college are trained in Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, and Safeguarding.
