Ethnic Minority Achievement Service (EMAS)

We provide support in all Brighton & Hove pre-schools and nurseries, as well as many primary and secondary schools. 

We support children who are learning English as a second language. 

Our specialist teachers and teaching assistants support children at school. We also train school teachers and staff to support children who speak more than one language.

Our home school liaison team supports families so that they can understand the British education system.

How to get support from us

Talk to your child's school or health visitor if you have one. They can give you advice and refer you to our service.
