Youth Offending Service
The Youth Offending Service (YOS) undertakes crime prevention work with young people aged 10 to 17 who are at risk of entering the criminal justice system through criminal or anti-social behaviour.
YOS supports the young person to stay out of the criminal justice system. We also run parent and carer training groups.
How to access the service
To start using the service a young person will be on the edge of offending, just entering the criminal justice system or be on a court order. Referrals come through the police or other professionals as part of a specific intervention as a result of an arrest.
