Downs View School (Woodingdean)

Special school for children who have significant learning difficulties, who are 4 to 16 years old.

Our special school is for children who are 4 to 16 years old, who have:

  • severe learning difficulties (SLD)
  • complex needs
  • profound/multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), or
  • autism associated with SLD, sometimes combined with challenging behaviour

We have another school site in Hollingdean and a Downs View Link College for 16 to 19 years olds.

All children who go to our school have an Education, Health and Care plan.
