Threshold Women's Services is part of the charity Brighton Housing Trust (BHT). We offer specialist support to women who are struggling with the impact of trauma on their life.
We only work with women actively engaged with BHT Sussex, Oasis and CGL.
We may be able to help you if your traumatic experiences have left you with ongoing issues.
For example:
-
substance use
-
isolation
-
anxiety
-
flashbacks
-
nightmares
We aim to meet the needs of women who may be deemed too unwell or ‘too chaotic’ to receive support from other services, but who are not necessarily in crisis.
After referral, clients meet with our Specialist Workers for three assessment sessions. In these sessions we will discuss how we can best support you.
Options include:
-
individual support for up to six sessions for an agreed purpose
-
individual support to help you prepare before joining a group
-
group work to help develop self-esteem and self-care strategies
You can find out more about these options in the leaflets on our website.
How to get support from us
We only work with women actively engaged with BHT Sussex, Oasis and CGL. Speak to your support worker if you would like to be referred to our service.
Please note, we are not currently able to accept self referrals.
