Activ8 For Kids

We know kids like nothing more than being active, and we run a variety of clubs and sessions designed to help the whole family stay fit and healthy and, most importantly, have fun doing it.
Our sessions are run by experienced sports coaches and are designed to teach and enhance physical activity skills. They are a great way for children to increase their confidence and make new friends.
Activ8 also run sessions in educational settings, including nursery and preschool, and support the teaching of PE in schools.

Active for Life

Active for Life is a programme run by Brighton & Hove City Council Healthy Lifestyles Team to support people in the city to lead active lifestyles. We provide over 50 weekly sessions catering for different abilities and activity levels across a range of activities from walks, to fitness classes, yoga, sports and more All our sessions are free or low cost, catering for both children and adults in community locations across the city.

AFC Varndeanians

Old Varndeanians Football Club, established in 1929, is one of the most successful social and community football clubs in Brighton. As well as having the tradition of playing attractive and successful football backed up by solid administration, the adult section of the club is also the envy of many in the Brighton area with its home pitches and facilities at the Falmer campus of the University of Brighton including the latest floodlit 3G artificial pitch.

Aldrington Scottish Country Dancers

Scottish Country Dancing is performed in sets by groups of dancers, generally six or eight people with the aim being to progress from one end of the set to the other and back again. Simple! Eye contact and smiles keep the worries away and as even the most experienced make mistakes nobody minds. It is part of the fun and teacher can always be blamed! Next dance others will make a different error to more friendly laughter.

Amaze

Amaze is a charity that gives information, advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We also support young people with SEND up to 25. Most of our services are for families in Brighton and Hove but we also offer Independent Support services to both parent carers and young people up to 25 in West Sussex.

Amazonas Arts Capoeira Angola

Our aims are to enhance wellbeing, cultural exchange and encourage community involvement through the learning and practice of capoeira and related art forms. We do this by providing regular classes, workshops and performance events. Activities are multi-disciplinary by nature and include movement, music (percussion and singing), the study of Afro-Brazilian heritage and craft. People taking part in our activities develop skills and knowledge that will enhance their physical health, mental health and overall quality of life.
