We’re currently updating our records on residents receiving the single person discount on Council Tax.

We are working with NEC Software Solutions to write to a number of residents who receive the discount to check whether they are still eligible for the discount.

We’re asking residents to contact us to update their details through an online form or by phoning the dedicated helpline included in the letter. Your letter will also include your unique password. 

The service is operated by NEC, so please respond using the online form or the helpline - our council tax staff will not be able to update your details.

The review is expected to be completed by early December and anyone not responding runs the risk of having their discount removed.

We will write to residents whose discounts need to be removed with updated details of their Council Tax bills once the review is complete.
