What identification you need to bring
If you vote at the polling station, you will need to bring photo identification (ID) with you. Your name on the electoral register should match the name on your ID. Expired ID will still be accepted if the photograph still looks like you.
UK, EEA or Commonwealth passport
UK or EEA driving licence (including a provisional licence)
Older person’s bus pass
Disabled person’s bus pass
EEA national identity card
Biometric immigration document
Identity card with the Proof of Age Standards Scheme hologram (PASS card)
Blue Badge
Voter Authority Certificate
Ministry of Defence Form 90 (Defence Identity Card) or Ministry of Defence Form 100 (HM Armed Forces Veteran Card)
University, college, school or workplace ID cards
Photocopies
Photos of documents presented on a smartphone
You do not need to bring your poll card with you to vote.
