Results of the Queen's Park by-election

A poll to elect a ward councillor for Queen's Park took place on Thursday 18 September 2025.

This vacancy was caused by the resignation of Tristram Burden.

Marina Lademacher was elected as Councillor for Queen's Park.

Results

The results were as follows:

• Simon Charleton, Labour Party - 729 votes
• Sunny Choudhury, Conservative Party - 82 votes
• Rudi Dikty-Daudiyan, Liberal Democrats - 98 votes
• Adrian Hart, Independent - 64 votes
• Marina Lademacher, Green Party - 1,133 votes
• John Shepherd, Reform UK - 237 votes

The turnout was 33.28%

Who could vote

To vote in these elections you had to be:

• registered to vote by Tuesday 2 September 2025.
• a resident of Queen’s Park ward or a registered Crown servant or service elector in respect of an address in the ward
• age 18 or over on polling day

  • last day to change existing proxy arrangements

  • last day for us to receive new proxy vote applications
  • last day for us to receive your Voter Authority Certificate application
• Friday 12 September – the first day to reissue replacement postal votes
• Thursday 18 September – polls open from 7am to 10pm
• Friday 19 September – ballot papers counted, with results expected in the afternoon
