No matter when you post it, your postal vote must reach us by 10pm on election day.
Returning your postal vote by hand
If you don’t think there is enough time for Royal Mail to return your ballot pack to us, you can hand your postal vote in to any Brighton & Hove polling station on the day of the election. You can also hand your vote in to Hove Town Hall at any point before the election.
Find your nearest polling station.
If you register for a postal vote, you can't get a ballot paper at the polling station. You must use the ballot paper that came with your postal voting pack.
On election day you can return your completed postal voting pack to any polling station in Brighton & Hove or to Hove Town Hall. Polling station opening times are 7am to 10pm.
From May 2024, you'll need to complete a separate declaration form if you return your postal vote by hand. We won't be able to count your vote without the declaration.
You can only hand in five postal votes each election, in addition to your own.
