Gender diversity in Brighton & Hove
How we work to advance equality and inclusion for Trans and Non-Binary communities.
Our commitment to equality and inclusion is unwavering. Our vision is for a more equal city where no one is left behind.
As an organisation, we work under the Equality Act to ensure the dignity and respect of all residents in the city and our staff.
We are aware of an ongoing interest in our trans and non-binary inclusive approach. We know from a range of evidence that gender is more complicated than is traditionally recognised.
Our equality objectives set out in our Fair and Inclusive Action Plan rightly support those who are experiencing greatest disadvantage. We will work together to advance equality and inclusion for Trans and Non-Binary communities. We aim to do this in partnership with national and local organisations and communities.
Everyone deserves to be valued and treated with respect. That is not open to debate.
