Council leader Bella Sankey has appointed nine councillors to Cabinet positions ahead of changes to our governance system.
The appointments are due to be ratified at the Annual Council meeting on Thursday 16 May.
The new Cabinet will take key decisions at monthly meetings, with each Cabinet member taking responsibility for their portfolio areas, as below.
At a meeting on Monday 29 April Bella also appointed four Cabinet Advisors who will serve one year terms and focus on specific policy areas and key projects.
The leader appointed chairs and deputy chairs to the council's:
- Planning Committee
- Licensing Committee
- Health and Wellbeing Board
- Audit and Standards Committee
Chairs of the three Overview and Scrutiny Committees were elected by the Labour Group. They will carry out a vital role in reviewing and scrutinising Cabinet decisions.
