A grace period of 21 days is in place for all parking permit holders. This means you can display your parking permit for 21 days after the expiry date printed on it. As long as you've submitted your renewal application and you're parked according to the conditions of your current parking permit, you will not receive a fine.

Government transparency agenda
We've published a list of council owned or occupied land and buildings and their key attributes under the Government's Code of Recommended Practice for Local Authorities on Data Transparency (2013):
We aim to support the transfer of council owned community assets to the third sector. We recognise that this can unlock social value, support community enterprise and demonstrate a commitment to our communities and residents.
We've published a Community Asset Transfer policy which sets out a consistent and formal process for both the receipt of applications and the evaluation of proposals.
Our Community Asset Transfer Policy (PDF 972KB) details the procedure that a third-sector organisation should follow to apply for an asset transfer. This is a 2 stage process with separate application forms:
a list of the properties which have been designated as a 'Community Asset' under this policy is included in the assets lists which are available to download using the links in the above section.
Greater Brighton Partnership One Public Estate programme
The Greater Brighton Partnership includes public sector organisations based or operating within the Adur District, Brighton & Hove City, Lewes District, Mid Sussex District and Worthing Borough Council administrative areas.
During 2016, the Greater Brighton Partnership successfully applied to become part of central government's One Public Estate Programme. One of the Partnership's commitments was to map our land and property assets, identify surplus assets and identify the collective value of our portfolios.
Property and Land asset ownership across the Greater Brighton Partnership extends to over 3,500 assets with a floor area in excess of 2 million square metres and a total value of £3.5bn.
our Greater Brighton interactive land & property asset map provides high-level details of the public sector's land and property assets in the Greater Brighton region (please note that the map excludes individual council houses and flats)
Our public sector maps and asset lists represent high-level information from our asset register and from data received from our partners. These are provided for general information only and should not be used for decision-making.
If you have specific ownership enquiries for Brighton & Hove City Council-owned or occupied assets send an email to amp@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
Enquiries concerning non-council-owned assets should be sent to the Estates team of the relevant partner organisation.
The council are only responsible for updating the information on assets that we own or operate.
Further information on the Greater Brighton Economic Area can be found on the Greater Brighton website.
