What information we need to publish
The Freedom of Information Act requires every public authority to have a publication scheme that is approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and to publish information covered by the scheme.
Publication scheme
As part of its duties within the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Brighton &Hove City Council operates a publication scheme.
We will make as much information as possible available. We already publish a large amount of this through a variety of media such as our website, the press and newsletters.
Our publication scheme shows the type of information that's available through our website. We list each type of information in line with the recommendations from the Information Commissioners Office Model Publication Scheme.
If your request is about information not identified in the scheme, find out how to make a separate request.
