Data Protection and Subject Access Requests
What is data protection and what we do with data we hold about you.
The UK Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation relates to a wide range of personal data, not just that held in computer systems. It now includes data held in manual filing systems, video and closed-circuit television images (CCTV).
The relevant documents are available to view or download below.
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you.
You'll need to provide a copy of your identification (ID). We need your ID so we can make sure that we don't release your personal information to anyone else. The types of identification we accept are listed on the form.
If you have a question about a data protection issue that relates to Brighton & Hove City Council, send an email to data.protection@brighton-hove.gov.uk or phone 01273 295959.
