Council buildings

We’ve been following the advice from Public Health England and taking all the precautionary action necessary to make sure council services and buildings are safeguarded for the public and our staff who are not working from home.

The council has followed the robust infection control processes advised by Public Health England and the NHS.

We've also taken additional steps, including:

  • sharing information and advice on illness prevention, and good hygiene practices directly with all staff
  • displaying the government's coronavirus posters throughout council buildings
  • cleaning specific office areas, like door handles, more often
  • providing more hand sanitizers and wipes in key civic buildings across the city including:
    • Hove Town Hall
    • Brighton Town Hall
    • Portslade Town Hall
    • Whitehawk Hub
    • Moulsecoomb Hub

Council staff

We have a resources section for Brighton & Hove City Council staff about coronavirus (COVID-19) and what to do during this time.

It includes information and advice on schools, using public transport, community and voluntary sector, businesses, culture, leisure and tourism, care homes and vulnerable people and more.
