The Coronation of The King and Queen Camilla
Street parties
If you’re planning a street party to celebrate the King’s Coronation, you’ll need to send your application to us by Friday 10 March.
Some roads in the city are not able to be closed. This could be because of problems with re-routing traffic, emergency access, or if your event is on a bus route. If a road closure is not possible, we recommend looking at using an alternative local road, or an off-street location such as a local park.
If you need to get in touch, please phone 01273 292 503.
Apply to hold a street party as a resident or community group
We welcome applications from residents and community groups in Brighton & Hove to close the road and hold street parties in their area.
For your application to be successful you need to:
consult with all residents and businesses in the street by distributing flyers and completing the Petition for road closure form, showing that at least 66% of the affected properties support the event
apply to the council for a formal road closure notice
put out the correct signs and barriers to make sure your road closure is safe
