The Big Help Out, happening on 8 May, will provide an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of His Majesty’s service and showcase the impact of volunteering within communities.

From rolling up your sleeves to help a local group, to supporting some of the UK’s best-known national charities, the Big Help Out will give people across the UK an opportunity to get involved.

Hundreds of activities are planned for the day by local community groups, organisations and charities including The Scouts, Royal Voluntary Service, National Trust and RNLI.

Date: 8 May, 12 noon to 4pm.
Location: Preston Park.
