Decision making during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
At its meeting on 19 March 2020, the Policy & Resources Committee approved the arrangements that the council is putting in place to continue decision-making.
The next Planning Committee meeting will take place on 22 April. This will be a virtual meeting.
Additional committees may be scheduled as required to ensure that all applications that may be Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) liable are determined in good time. All decisions that don’t require members’ decision will be made in the normal delegated way.
The Planning Committee meets at 2pm on scheduled dates at the Council Chamber, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.
The most major or controversial planning applications are considered first followed by a short break at 4pm. Other applications that have public speakers are then considered followed by the rest of the applications.
See How Decisions are made for an explanation of which applications are decided by the Committee, and which are delegated to officers.
