Taxi vouchers

Service Update: Wednesday 8 April 2020

Blue Badge and Concessionary Travel Team

Due to the current situation relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, the council is having to reduce or stop services.

We aim to continue to issue Blue Badges and Bus Passes, however this may not be possible, as swiftly as we would like, as council staff are having to prioritise essential services.  Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience, we hope to return to usual service standards as soon as possible.

If you apply by post there may be a delay in processing your application as we are reducing staff time in the office.

Please apply online when possible or email us a scanned copy of your application.

The customer service counter is closed.

You can still:

Phone 01273 296 270 - if you leave a voicemail, a member of staff will phone you back
Email BlueBadgeParking@brighton-hove.gov.uk
Use the parking section of the website

All blue badges and bus passes that are due to expire in May and June will automatically be renewed and sent to customers.

If you live in Brighton & Hove, are of fare paying age and are unable to use public transport, you may be eligible for taxi vouchers.

We are able to issue £70 worth of taxi vouchers each year (£35 if applying after 1 October) and these will be valid until the following April.

If you currently hold a valid bus pass this must be returned before the Taxi Vouchers can be issued. You cannot re-apply for a bus pass within the period for which the Taxi Vouchers have been issued. The current period is from 1 April to the 31 March.
