As electric vehicle ownership grows and as we work towards becoming a carbon neutral city by 2030, we are expanding our network of charging locations.

More than 200 new on-street charging points have been installed across the city, thanks, in part, to a £300,000 grant from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles.

We have also installed 4 rapid charger hubs for taxis for fast charging which, at the moment, can be used by both residents and taxi drivers with electric vehicles.

The council also supports residents with electric vehicles with discounts on eligible low-emission vehicles.
