As electric vehicle ownership grows and as we work towards becoming a carbon neutral city by 2030, we are expanding our network of charging locations.

More than 200 new on-street charging points have been installed across the city, thanks, in part, to a £300,000 grant from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles.

We have also installed 4 rapid charger hubs for taxis drivers with electric vehicles for fast charging which, at the moment, 2 bays are also available for public use.

The council also supports residents with electric vehicles with discounts on eligible low-emission vehicles.
