We are writing to all residents of the Phoenix Estate with confirmation of the results of the recent parking consultation which took place from 9 July 2018 to 3 August 2018.

Consultation documents containing a questionnaire and a detailed plan of the proposals were posted to all households within

A meeting where residents discussed the proposals with council officers took place at The Phoenix Community Centre on Tuesday 17th July between 6 - 7.30pm.

We asked residents if there was support for one of the following options:

Option 1:

Areas of free parking would remain free.  Residents would no longer be eligible for Zone V permits (including resident, resident visitor, carer and business permits).

Option 2:

To join existing Zone V (Monday – Sunday, 9 am – 8 pm):  Areas of free parking would be converted to dedicated permit holder only parking places.  Information on current permit costs was provided

Results

14 valid responses were received from within the proposed scheme boundary giving a response rate of 15.4%.

13 respondents (92.9%) supported Option 1 saying they would like to keep the area of parking free.

1 respondent (7.1%) supported Option 2 saying they would like to join existing Zone V.
