Moving house - parking
Moving house can be stressful time. If you are moving you may need to know:
- how to reserve a parking bay when you move
- what zone your new address is in
- if there is a waiting list for resident parking permits at your new address
You must tell us straight away when you have moved address.
Moving into a controlled parking zone
If you have moved to an address within a controlled parking zone, you must buy a resident parking permit.
If you have moved to a zone with a waiting list, you will need to join the waiting list before we can issue a permit.
Moving within controlled parking zones
If you have moved to a zone with a waiting list, you will need to join the waiting list before we can issue a permit.
If you have moved to a different address, either within the same zone or a different zone, you must tell us about your change of address.
If you have moved from a zone with a waiting list you must give back the permit and tell us about your change of address.
Moving out of a controlled parking zones
You will need to give back the permit and fill in the refund form.
A refund will be given for each full month left on the permit.
If you move out of the permit zone, under no circumstances can you continue to use your permit.
