Public Notices: Approved Venue Applications

In accordance with the Marriages and Civil Partnerships (approved Premises) Regulations 2005 and on behalf of the General Register Office, Brighton & Hove City Council is required to publicise all pending applications for Approved Venue status.

The public notice consultation runs for 21 days from the date of the notice. Applications and plans under consultation can be viewed at the address below by appointment. To make an appointment, please email us at register.office@brighton-hove.gov.uk

Raising an objection

Members of the public wishing to object to an application should submit the reasons for their objection in writing within 21 days of the date of notice.

THE MARRIAGES AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIP (APPROVED PREMISES)(AMENDED)  REGULATIONS  2011

TAKE NOTICE that Brighton & Hove City Council has received an application from Toni Manuel, Seafront Development Manager, Brighton & Hove City Council, Kings House, Grand Avenue, Hove BN3 2LS,  for the grant of an approval of premises known as BRIGHTON BANDSTAND, Kings Road Arches, Brighton BN1 2LN for the Solemnisation of Marriages and the registration of Civil Partnerships pursuant to The Marriage and Civil Partnerships (Approved Premises) ( Amended) Regulations 2011.

A copy of the Application and the accompanying plan may be inspected at the Town Hall, Bartholomews, Brighton between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on  Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays or between 10am and 4.30 pm on Wednesdays.

Any person may give notice in writing of an objection to the grant of approval, with reasons for the objection, within 21 days from the date on which this notice is published by writing to Paul Holloway,  Proper Officer for Registration Matters, Brighton  & Hove City Council, Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomews, Brighton BN1 1JA.
