Our paddling pools and play fountains are free. They open to the public each summer in time for the Early May bank holiday.
The 2017 summer season is from Saturday 29 April to Sunday 17 September.
Unfortunately Saunders Park Paddling Pool will not open until the end of May. This is because our contractors need to carry out essential maintenance work. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Paddling pool and play fountain locations
- King's Road padding pool (on the seafront next to the i360)
- Saunders Park paddling pool on the Lewes Road (please note there are no public toilets)
- Hove Lagoon paddling pool (on the seafront next to Shoreham Harbour)
- Play fountains above the playground area of The Level.
The three paddling pools and the play fountains at The Level are managed on behalf of the council by Freedom Leisure.
There are also water play facilities near the Yellowave beach sports centre on Madeira Drive
Cleaning and maintenance
We test and check the pools and play fountains regularly. Sometimes during the season they will need to close for maintenance or cleaning. When a pool or fountain is closed there will be signs around the pool and we'll keep you updated on social media.
