Tidy Up Team volunteer litter pickers
Help our grounds maintenance teams and CityClean staff to keep our beautiful parks and open spaces litter free by joining our Tidy Up Team scheme.
Tidy Up Team volunteers will receive training, protective equipment, materials, tools, and support from Brighton & Hove City Council. This training and support will enable them to collect litter safely in green spaces and parks across the city and dispose of it using approved methods.
Volunteers are only expected to spend a minimum of 15 minutes each week collecting litter but are encouraged to do more if they wish.
Tidy Up Team volunteers should be able to:
- Attend a morning training course
- Use a mobile phone
- Access email and the internet
- Wear sturdy footwear for safety
Throughout the year we will also be organising group litter picks to deal with some of the most problematic areas and sites. These can be organised by council officers or Tidy Up Team volunteers.
