These elections took place on Thursday 2 May. Following the count on Friday 3 May 2019, the results have now been published.
Local elections took place in Brighton & Hove on Thursday 2 May to elect 54 ward councillors. Polls were open from 7am until 10pm.
To vote in the local election you had to be:
- registered to vote by 12 April
- a resident in Brighton & Hove
- aged 18 and over (16 or over to register)
- one of the following nationalities; British, Irish, Commonwealth, all EU countries, Malta, Cyprus and British Dependent Territories
Key dates
- Friday 12 April: Last day to register to vote
- Monday 15 April (5pm): Last day for us to receive your postal vote application
- Wednesday 24 April (5pm): Last day for us to receive your proxy vote application
- Thursday 2 May: Polls are open from 7am until 10pm
- Friday 3 May: Election count
